Getting your social media and content calendar ready for November 2021? Well, I have all of your November content ideas right here!
What can we say about November? Henry Rollins said, "The month of November makes me feel that life is passing more quickly. In an effort to slow it down, I try to fill the hours more meaningfully."
However, I'm sure he was not putting together a social media schedule. This is not the time to slow down - November is a great month, choc-full of opportunities to put out some really great content.
The days are getting a little cooler and we are settling down and getting ready to hibernate for the winter. We are thick into pumpkin spice latte season, but not quite ready for snow.
So what can we write about? Let's go through some content ideas that might work for your business. (And if you're feeling stuck with your content - check out our Kickstart Your Copy course. It may be just what you're looking for!)
Using Our November Content Ideas
As with anything...you don't want to overdo it! Make sure that whatever you're referencing is something that aligns with you or your business.
However, latching onto popular days or months gives you a chance to:
a) gain some traffic from trending hashtags
b) bring awareness to something that you care about
c) highlight your customer without being pandering
Of course, you do not have to directly reference it in your content if you do not want to. The purpose is always just to get you thinking!
November content is all about entrepreneurs - you've got so many days that are celebrating them!
For example, November 8-14 is Global Entrepreneurship Week. This is followed by Women's Entrepreneurship Day on November 19 and Small Business Saturday on November 27.
How can you incorporate this into your feed?
Tell your story! How did you decide to be an entrepreneur? What were the roadblocks along the way? What have you learned?
What about the other entrepreneurs that inspire you (especially our female business ladies!)?
If you're in the B2B business, Global Entrepreneurship Week is a great time to highlight the benefits of your services or products. Really highlight the challenges that entrepreneurs face and how you are going to solve them.
A note here - make sure that your social media and website are ready to go for Small Business Saturday so that when you highlight your small business, all your ducks are in a row. (i.e. does your Google Business profile have old contact information? Does your Instagram profile have a link that doesn't exist anymore?)
Black Friday / Cyber Monday
If you aren't doing something for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you are missing out! Whether we plan on standing outside a Best Buy at 5:00 a.m. (no thank you!), our brains are in "buy mode" and your customers will be too.
Since they're out there looking for sales, make sure they see yours!
